Self-Defense Training
Real Kung Fu. Built for Real Life.
Many systems are designed for sport or controlled environments. Wing Chun was built for the opposite — close-range, chaotic, real-world encounters where size and strength don't determine the outcome.
The art is rooted in three core principles:
Efficiency— every movement has a purpose. Nothing is wasted.
Relaxation — a relaxed body moves faster, adapts instantly, and delivers more power than one locked in tension.
Centerline — keeping intent and action on the shortest, most direct path to stopping a threat.
Together, these principles create a system that doesn't ask you to be stronger or faster than your opponent. It asks you to be smarter and more composed.
Wing Chun gives a smaller person the tools to handle a larger, more aggressive attacker — without relying on size, strength, or athleticism.
No prior experience required. No special fitness level. Just show up.
Who This Is For
Our students range from 18 to over 80 — experienced martial artists and people who have never thrown a punch. Bodybuilders and people with bad knees. Athletes and people managing Parkinson’s. Veterans working through PTSD. Lawyers, plumbers, and everyone in between.
Smaller people who want practical self-defense skills. Bigger people who want to move with greater control and awareness. People looking to build bone density, strengthen joints, and move better as they age.
Many arrive with knee, elbow, or wrist issues. Wing Chun doesn’t demand much from your body at the start — the training rebuilds structure, improves alignment, and integrates the body in ways that carry into everyday life.
Not everyone trains here solely for self-defense. Some come for the workout, the mental challenge, or the community.
Whatever brings you in, you leave with something practical — a calmer mind, a stronger body, and skills that hold up under pressure.
What Training Looks Like
Every class draws from three areas of practice:
Forms — the classical solo exercises of Wing Chun, refined over generations. Practiced individually, they develop stance, posture, structure, and the relaxed power at the core of the art. Many students find them meditative.
Partnered Drills — hands-on, collaborative training that develops sensitivity, timing, and real self-defense reflexes. Intensity progresses gradually, building effective fighting ability in a safe and controlled way.
Conditioning — structured sets of strikes, kicks, and fundamental techniques trained with volume and intent. You will get a workout.
